I was able to reduce to one prompt with:
sudo zfs change-key -l -o
keylocation=file:///run/keystore/rpool/system.key rpool/daten
Now Ubuntu loads with the latest kernel and only one prompt.

To clarify, I have one pool with:
rpool encryption aes-256-gcm

rpool keyl
Linux 6.8.0-49 works fine for booting, after the flicker the password field
gets the focus and I continue typing.
Linux 6.8.0-51 introduces this problem
