Unfortunately (really fortunately :) I can't reproduce the error. A
recent update that was sent through in relation to amd graphic drivers
solved the issue.
On another matter I'm retired and have had experience programing in
assembler, c++, c, java, python, most c based languages
Thanks for the bug report. Please reproduce the issue again. Then reboot
into safe mode and run:
journalctl -b-1 > prevboot.txt
and attach the resulting text file here.

System was working perfectly up until a system upgrade 14th December.
After upgrade rebooted system all good. Shut system down normally. Today
15th December went to boot desktop fail to load. Access system now via
safe mode.
