I have also run into this with the Hardy release candidate. Compiz
crashed 2 consecutive times after running the alternative CD + Internet
upgrade. Also, I am using a 19" Dell widescreen. After the
upgrade/reboot, the screen was approximately 3" to the right of the
monitor and the screen resolution
