I did the testing on Ubuntu 24.10 in QEMU/KVM setup.
Package version 0.7+dfsg2 is, as expected, unusable, and
0.7+dfsg2-4ubuntu0.24.10.1 is playable.
Testted on levels 1, 2, 3, 4, 24, 29.

Hello!
Yep, 0.7+dfsg2-4ubuntu0.24.04.1 is fixed the issue for me.
I was able to run the game normally, navigate throught menu, load the 1st and
the 2nd levels.
Also I started the game in debug mode on levels 3, 24, 29 and it works
perfectly fine!

Thanks for taking the time to try and carry this through.
If one wants to fix a bug in an older release, e.g. Noble (24.04), the
SRU (Stable Release Update) policy is to make sure that it is fixed in
all subsequent releases that are still supported, in this case Oracular
(24.10) to en
