It turned out that several dependencies are conflicting with each other.
I first tried these commands to remove all the problematic dependencies:
```
sudo dpkg --force-all --purge nvidia-kernel-common-535
sudo dpkg --force-all --purge nvidia-firmware-535-535.183.01
sudo dpkg --force-all --purge nvi
