Yes it could be related to the cable. I'm not saying adapter cables are
a bad thing, they're often necessary. Just that all types of cables are
subject to variation in quality.
That said, this feels just as likely an Nvidia driver bug to me. Because
I see the same kind of repeating "connected" mes

I don't think the mouse is relevant because those SYN_DROPPED messages
are not frequent enough.
The main issue appears to be the SAMSUNG repeatedly reconnecting. This
suggests it needs a better HDMI cable or isn't plugged in properly. But
it could also be a bug in the Nvidia driver thinking the TV

Come to think of it, you will get a slight freeze every 5 seconds from a
journaling file system if something is writing to a log file constantly.
The command in comment #2 should show that.

Thanks for the bug report. The only errors I can see in the logs relate
to side effects of bug 2060268, so please try the workarounds for that
one.
If those workarounds don't resolve this issue then next time the system
freezes, please run:
journalctl -b0 > journal.txt
and attach the resulting
