Mackenzie Morgan: No, this problem was already fixed. User should be
warned about incorrect port in GUI, but it is not necessary.

I tried your scenario but it does not crash, it simply outputs the
following error to the terminal:
StartSocket (tcp): Caught "Permission denied"
StartSocket (udp): Caught "Permission denied"
If you want it fixed, compile latest cvs in debug mode and submit a
backtrace.
