I am not able to reproduce the problem on Oracular with autopkgtest
5.34ubuntu2. So let us close it as invalid.

OK, while can you reproduce the issue with autopkgtest-build-lxd from
the package? If you can, please share the output of these commands:
dpkg-query -W autopkgtest
dpkg -V autopkgtest
sh -x /usr/bin/autopkgtest-build-lxd ubuntu-daily:noble/amd64

I still can't reproduce this, we'll need some more information to help
figuring out what's happening. Can you please:
1. git clone https://salsa.debian.org/ci-team/autopkgtest/, or `git pull` if
you have it already to make sure it's up to date.
2. Please share the output of `git rev-parse HEAD`,
$ lxc version get

The following commands don't show any error:
lxc launch ubuntu-daily:noble/amd64 foo
lxc exec foo true
$ lxc list --all-projects

This is still what I see on an amd64 noble system:

Can you reliably reproduce the issue? I can run this just fine:
autopkgtest-build-lxd ubuntu-daily:noble/amd64
Does LXD otherwise work fine for you? That is, does the following work?
lxc launch ubuntu-daily:noble/amd64 foo
lxc exec foo true

Hi Heinrich, I tried to reproduce the issue with
autopkgtest-build-lxd ubuntu-daily:noble/amd64
and I could not: the image built just fine. Which version of LXD are you
using (output of: `lxc version get`)?
The timeout problem you reported on comment 4 is a duplicate of
