This bug appeared for me yesterday with linux-image-6.11.0-17-generic
The fix (for me was) to go back to linux-image-6.8.0-52-generic
I'd recommend that this fix be backported to linux-image-6.11.xxx-generic as
well.

I have the same problem with a microphone on Ubutu 24.04. I switched to
kernel 6.8.4 but it's not still detected

to force load of snd_pci_ps (Pink Sardine) instead of kernel module

I checked the latest ubuntu noble kernel, the fix is already merged to
this kernel through this bug:

I reproduced the issue on a thinkpad x13-amd laptop. And the most recent
mainline kernel already fixed this regression, I will backport the fix
to ubuntu kernel.

According to #3, the sound card for dmic is not created.
please run this command:
$cd /sys/devices

and paste the output of 2 commands.
