Would be nice, to be honest. We dont expect any support on this from Canonical or the package maintainers. On the subject of security, I think the EFI paths, which are enabled in probably all the other kernel built distros, should be safe enough as they will be catched by consumers of those kernel

I've no specific objection to enabling EFI in the kernel, provided it's clear there's no support from Ubuntu for boot issues in such a configuration. On the subject of security though, I'll defer to those with considerably more experience than myself. Even if we don't use the EFI facilities in our

Could you please reconsider this. The kernel size change including CONFIG_EFI_ is about 60 KB (#10674016 vs #10735317 bytes). I would assume all use cases where iso boot is used would be making UBoot load grub, which would then require the CONFIG_EFI_* to be enabled. (Also good to note that Opensu
