What I just did (with the official karmic release) is just to stop the
process of the gnome power manager, although this will take out the
ability of making you computer sleep and stuff, then I just opened start
up applications and and unticked the gnome power manager so that it
won't open it on st
Apologies for the thread hijack - could you please advise how I can
apply this fix (video.diff) to a new Gutsy installation, to stop
periodic brightness flickering of the LCD panel. I believe it's related
to the issue described by Matthew Garrett above.
