Just curious about which version of the iwl3945 driver you are using.
You can find this by running:
modinfo iwl3945
The reason I ask is that the 'linux-backports-modules' package has an
updated version of the iwlwifi drivers, version 1.2.25. I'm guessing you
are using version 1.2.0 wh
