Abraham, if you've got an easy test case for this, it might be useful to
test the various versions released into 22.04 LTS:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/jammy/+source/netatalk
eg:
pull-lp-debs netatalk jammy 3.1.12~ds-9ubuntu0.22.04.1
for all the versions listed, then try them in turn.

I noticed that there is a previous version in the package manager.
Downgrading to it fixed the issue.
apt-get install netatalk=3.1.12~ds-9build1

There is a netatalk metadata corruption issue in both 20.04 and 22.04
that is described here:
https://github.com/Netatalk/netatalk/issues/236
It would be nice to get this fixed in 22.04 at least, it is spewing
errors in my logs.
