Marking this as "Invalid" as there was a memory error on the system and the Oops was a result of corrupt memory rather than a kernel problem in dcache. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: In Progress => Invalid -- [hardy] kernel crash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/204064 You received

Hi Tyler, Sorry to hear it is a memory issue, but it explains why the corruption in the dcache was occurring - and I learnt more about dcache, so nothing was lost. I will mark this as "Won't Fix" Colin -- [hardy] kernel crash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/204064 You received this bug notific

Hi Colin, I've done the find / -type f -print part. The command did not trigger a kernel oops like described in the bug report. I was able to reproduce the bug fast when using ogmrip creating multilanguage matroska files from dvd and working with qemu at the same time. (usually between 5 and 20

Hi tyler, I've seen a similar bug report to this http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7929 which may be indicating a hardware specific problem more than a kernel problem. However, seeing that you are upgrading to the latest kernel is a good starting point for me to debug this further. The d
