Hm... and it's only now that I found out that exempi is in main, sorry,
ubuntu-release needs to deal with this. Subscribing ubuntu-release and
unsubscribing motu-release.

There is no NEWS file.
All this changes is a #define in the xmp.h header, as shipped to users
of the exempi library. It introduces no new code other than that. No
new testing is necessary.
Because this is just a package sync, I believe that concludes my
