Unfortunately, "X crashes randomly" is far from enough to begin
troubleshooting with. We need to know either detailed steps to
reproduce (even "random" crashes are triggered by _something_), or
lacking that, a full backtrace.

Running Gutsy 7.10, and have been for the past few months.
This was the first crash for ages, but I still thought I should post a bug
report in case someone could see the problem and fix it.
