Same on iwl4965 1.2.0 driver. There is a problem not in linux-image but in Network manager itself. It doesn't set mode ad-hoc. While connecting iwconfig iwl0 shows managed only. After turning off network manager, and manually configuration it worked fine. If you want please make a little test. Tu
