No, I haven't got this issue in a long time.
I think its just some bug that was in some version of something, at one point
in time in Hardy Heron.
I guess they fixed it or something maybe...

I cant right-click, and I cant hold down the left mouse button and drag to make
a selection.

rather due to gvfs or nautilus, gnome-desktop is gnome-about and a
library used for desktop files, nothing to do with this issue. Could you
attach your .xsession-errors when having the bug?

Hi,
Is it all partitions that are missing, or just some of them?
This sounds like an issue with gnome-desktop if you can't
get the right click menu, so I'll send the bug that way.
