Ive just installed 8.10 Desktop and there is no problem. Must be a
problem with the mythubuntu cd.

Ive just installed the mythbuntu intrepid version on an R40E. After boot
the screen displays the logon panel but the keyboard and mouse are dead.
I did a build of the latest kernel linux - 2.6.27-7.10 but still the
same problem. I can get to terminal screen.

The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would
appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel.
There are one of two ways you should be able to test:
1) If you are comfortable
Closing -ati component since it seems to be a kernel issue.
