On 22.04.5, using the default sort works if you specify the word list
with -a, so the sorting doesn't seem to be the sole issue:

Turns out that util-linux is working as described in its manpage. I tried with
the older implementation (bsdmainutils) too and the same issue persists. So the
root cause is the default wordlist.
"look" expects the default wordlist to be sorted in a case-insensitive manner
(which it was earlie

There seems to be something wrong with the way the ignore-case option is
handled:
-f, --ignore-case fold lower case to upper case characters
The option is enabled by default when running `look ` and the only
way to disable it is to specify the wordlist as the next positional
paramete
