The workaround suggested in comment #19 only works if nova-compute is
configured to use "rbd" as the libvirt-image-backend.
On a CIS-hardened deployment with the default backend ("qcow2"), tempest
passes the two resize_ tests, however, as a side-effect, tempest fails
both tests under the
tempest.a
We were able to get this working with the umask still set to 027 by adding the
libvirt-qemu account to the nova group and adding the nova account to the kvm
group. Then a service restart of nova-compute got it working again.
This is in can anyone has this issue and needs to keep the umask set
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
