I just managed to produce one such weird tab again.
The refreshing of the windows on that virtual desktop never happens (when I
iconify a window its contents stay on the screen).
I am now using Firefox 3.0 b4.
What should I do exactly to help you diagnostic the problem?

All right, I will if/when this happens again.
A pattern I seem to have noticed it this happens whenever I open many tabs in a
row (many control-clicks or opening a selection of tabs).
