Hi,
it doesn't seem to help:
I had an incident, where the choppyness didn't go away even after restart,
and also not after adding said option.
It improved after suspending the laptop and waking it up again.
(my grub config is enclosed in the screenshot, I did update-grub and
udpated-grub2)
On M
Can you add the "i8042.reset=1" to the kernel boot command line and see
if it helps?
