My problem may be unrelated (because I'm running PowerPC) but I have NOT experienced the shutdowns in the four months since I upgraded to Dapper 6.06.1. Because it's a random condition I can never be absolutely sure BUT I have been doing everything that (in previous kernels) would have resulted in

I also have this problem with my laptop suddenly turning itself off. Bang - like what happens when you press the power button for 5 seconds. It's happened twice today and once yesterday I am running Ubuntu 6.06 on my old Dell 2500 laptop. I have kernel 2.6.15-25. Below is the output from var/log/m
