I looked in the subdirectories of the directory /sys/class/drm and the
file enabled only appears in card0-eDP-1 which would explain the output
from the command.

I was mistaken the issue is still there, it is most easily reproduced if
you run youtube.com using Firefox on the external display moving the
mouse over videos displays the window with garbage quite easily.

Note: Looks like the newer kernel and Nvidia driver has an issue that
the external monitor is not seen on the dock after a suspend resume.
You have to disconnect and reconnect the DP cable to get the external
screen back up

I updated to the latest OEM kernel 5.6.0-1050-oem from 5.6.0-1035-oem and the
latest nvidia 460 from 455 and the issue appears to be resolved as I can no
longer reproduce the issue. I will ask the end user to also upgrade and retest
to see if the stock image which it appears he is using can als
David, please still paste the full output here.
Also, use a newer kernel like `apt install linux-oem-20.04b` may help.

I can provide diagnostics, whatever might be missing if needed to narrow
it down.
I am seeing this issue with latest LTS version (20.04.2), and primarily
usign the Yaru theme.
it prints the word enabled one time
