FYI, I was able to undo the damage. It looks like a bad refresh rate was

I'm reported this using an older computer. But, at this time, I'm unable
to try using the monitor from this computer on my computer. The old
monitor uses VGA, and my computer does not have a VGA port.
I should not have to buy or change hardware as the result of a software
bug. 😠
