I just uploaded safe-rm 1.0.0 to Debian unstable. It was rewritten in
Rust, which means that the interpreter dependency and possible race
condition have been eliminated.
So if you end up adding a conflict on the safe-rm package, please make
it < 1.0.0.

I backported the fix to 18.04 in my PPA:

but I don't have an easy way of testing the 18.04-20.04 upgrade so I'm
not sure that would be enough to fix what I ran into.
