this is the error message:
MP-BIOS bug: 8254 timer not connected to IO-APIC.
Kernel Panic - not syncing: IO-APIC + timer doesn´t work!.
if you want i can post log of installed veersione (beta). What log do
you want to see?

It would be helpful to see a picture of the crash that you receive when
booting the final version of Ubuntu 7.10 to understand where the exact
bug lies.

ok, i' ve downloaded latest beta. I' ve the same problem, but this time
pc doesn' t freeze, and it continues to load ubuntu. So i' ve installed
ubuntu and it works ok.
Some months ago i' ve installed ubuntu 7.10 beta. But when i' ve tried
to install stable version i' had this problem. I hope that
ok. Now i download latest testing It occurs some day, because i' ve
only a 56k :(
