sorry for being so quiet but i worked towards feature freeze the last days :)
i'm currently running the -7 package over here and uninstalled nfs-common
the kernel is still oopsing (with a new message) and i noticed the clock is
getting behind over time.

Ogra, could you retry this with a Hardy alpha4 kernel? I saw some other
bug report that had a nearly identical callchain which seemed to have
vanished with later releases. While it would be good to have more
information soon, you could also wait for the 2.6.24-8 kernel to get
uploaded (which should

I am not sure my experience with x86 is sufficient, so I might be wrong.
To me this looks like something related to the cpuidle driver. The
backtrace up to tick_notify looks like some sort of idle notification.
