I see a fix has been applied to 5.4.0-37-generic which hasn't percolated
down yet. Has this fix been pushed to 5.7 and 5.8?

Using Ubuntu desktop and GDM3 the flickering doesn't occur (but I can't
log back in from lock). Using any other DM and DE the flickering occurs.
