The login screen runs as a different user, not as "user 1" or "user 2", so it can only display world-readable image files. I wonder if you also need to: chmod 755 ~/Pictures to make the directory readable too. If you still have any problems then please run this on the file: stat YOURFILE >

I did it. No change. More infos: The user icon of user 2 is in /home/pictures/ folder of user 1. The icon is shown for user 2 when she is logged in or logged out. So it has access to the picture, but on the main login dialog with all users the icon of user 2 is not changed. And I do not unders
