mnemosyne-2.11+ds1 has built in to debian/control a dependency on
python3-gtts which that version didn't seem to have. This seems to have
been fixed in as of at least 2.11

Two day ago I had confirmed both the bug and workaround on Ubuntu 20.04
(Focal Fossa).
Meanwhile I upgraded to 20.10 (Groovy Gorilla) and can confirm the same
behaviour there as well. If python3-gtts is not manually installed,
mnemosyne crashes on startup with the reported message. After manual
in
I can both confirm the problem itself as well as the fix mentioned in
#2. It's just a missing dependency and simply installing python3-gtts
fixes the problem.
