Not few, but believe most install libssl1.0-dev or give up. If one look
at stack-exchange and similar networks the issue (and it's family tree)
has tens of thousands of views and there is a huge list of iss
@mackuba, yes, I understand. To me it seems like a repository circular
dependency. The problem is not directly with nodejs per-se, but with the
interactions with the update and other packages that it depends on. I
am happy to see this is not just me. What I do not fully grok is why so
few people
I have the same problem:
- aptitude is showing 2 uninstalled updates, libmysqlclient-dev and
libmysqlclient20
- I can't update them, because they require libssl-dev
- if I decide to install libssl-dev, I need to uninstall libssl1.0-dev
- if I do that, I would need to remove nodejs-dev which requi
nodejs in bionic is explicitely set to use OpenSSL 1.0.2 series.
