Thanks for reporting. This issue duplicates bug 1855825, and has fix
released as version 8042-0ubuntu2 on Focal, and we're working on SRU the
fix to Eoan.

Same here under Xubuntu 19.10 with Kernel 5.3.0-24-generic: System
freezes when showing lightdm's login screen. When using recovery boot
mode and choosing "network - activate network" a "kernel panic - not
syncing: Fatal exception in interrupt" is shown.
With Kernel 5.3.0-23-generic everything is
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
