Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it because the bug has been fixed
in the latest development version of Ubuntu.
If you need a fix for the bug in previous versions of Ubuntu, please
perform as much as possible of the SRU Proce
Workaround for guys which does not want to expect an update:
- unistall usb-modeswitch package with "sudo apt remove usb-modeswitch"
Follow the steps to install the package from the developer:

Bug confirmed on Dell Latitude Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming Laptop with
Ubuntu 16.04 factory installed. Upgrading to Ubuntu 18.04 resolve the
issue, but introduces new bugs related to Nvidia driver and
xorg/wayland. Not a good solution.
