NM 0.6 only works when a dhcp server is available. Doesn't work with
static ips.

if you are using NM 0.6, system administration -> network will make you
NOT use NetworkManager unless you hvae selected "enable roaming mode"
there.
At best set all devices to roaming mode and then let NetworkManager do
the proper job after reboo.t

1) Static IP
2) Restricted & Protected with WPA2 key
