Unfortunately I had to switch the D620 for a D630 (Santa Rosa platform
(X3100), running Hardy Alpha as well), which does not expose this
behaviour. Thus I cannot give you more information, feel free to close
this bug.

There are no errors in your Xorg.0.log to indicate a problem.
Please run X in gdb while logged in remotely, and obtain a backtrace at the
point of freeze.
