I further tested this new 4.18.0-18-generic kernel and with this kernel
the wifi seems to work very good. I did not observe any slowness as I
did with the patched 4.18.0-16 kernel.

Hi,
I think I have enabled pre-released updates. Is the kernel version
(4.18.0-17-generic), the one that should have this patch?
I am wondering because wifi does not seem to work with this kernel.

Hi,
I tested with only the patched kernel and it enables wifi.
However, there still seems to be something weird happening. Even though,
the wifi seems to work, it might take from seconds to minutes for a web
page to load. It feels like having a bad connection, but in a mixed way.

Does this need any fix in network-manager? Seems to be fully fixed by

I don't think this laptop has such a block button. There is a button
(F7) with airplane symbol. It does not seem to have any effect (even
when used with FN key).
What I know is:
- If I boot to Windows, the wifi works there.
- Bluetooth works fine in Linux.
