This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try
with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are

This is a problem with asus M50SA too. The FN + F8 doesn't do anything. If you
need information just tell me.
Btw I have the asus-laptop running, and using Ubuntu / Kubuntu 8.10.
