No worries on the "invalid" . . . this issue was "publicly reported" on
the list serve by another individual and I was the only person to
respond to it there . . . possibly I CCd you on it as well to which no
reply was posted to the several posts that were sent there by the two of
us.

Since the primary purpose of this report is to comment on the 0 bytes,
I'm calling this invalid because I think it's somewhat of an
unreasonable expectation.
What is in menu://applications is everything all the contents of
application folders specified by $XDG_DATA_DIRS and $XDG_DATA_HOME.
