any update on this? or maybe a workaround?
what I'm doing now is to rename openvpn binary to openvpn.run, and a bash
script of /usr/bin/openvpn calls openvpn with its arguments + the lz4 compress
option added as follows:
#!/bin/bash
/usr/sbin/openvpn.run --compress lz4 "$@"
