I've tried to change the keyboard type : from USB to PS/2 connection.
No change in Nemo: After some directory creations and/or renaming keyboard is
lost by Nemo but continue to work properly with other programs.

Exactly the same problem but in Mint 19.3 cinnamon.
He accepts to rename one or 2 files with the keyboard and then lost it.
Try to un-install and re-install cinnamon and nemo and nothing change.
