I confirm this bug. Answers to questions asked by Debconf are not saved
in /etc/ldap.conf. Instead ther are always the same host and base
values:
# network or connect timeouts (see bind_timelimit).
host 127.0.0.1
# The distinguished name of the search base.
base dc=padl,dc=com
