I have since switched over to the fglrx driver, so my Xorg log won't
help. Nor with my xorg.conf (it was a stock Ubuntu one). And a
screenshot is kind of impossible since it can't exactly capture
overlays. And I don't have a camera that could capture a monitor at that
level of accuracy.

Could you please attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log and /etc/X11/xorg.conf
files, and a screenshot or photograph of the screen that shows the
issue?
