Thanks for the confirmation. My followup on "not installed" was really a
comment regarding the bug reporting system which had tagged "(not installed)"
on the package name even though it was in fact installed.
I agree it does seem to be a package issue. However, Ubuntu is distributing the
Skrooge
Jim issue is not about installed, not installed, but about successful
installation. Skrooge is installed, but can not be lunched. Below please
find runtime messages with CRITICAL and FATAL errors. Take a look inside
package and try to resolve this.

Note that skrooge most definitely IS installed - no idea why the system
summary tacked on says it isn't. There are no custom packages on this
system; everything is either from the core system or added using
software-manager.
