The touchpad of my Lenovo Thinkpad L480 does not work in both Ubuntu
Disco live and Eoan daily image. However, it works fine in Bionic
18.04.3 with the HWE kernel of Disco. So I guess there is a bug in a
different place beside the kernel.

Thinkpad L480, same problem, same solution, but encountered while
upgrading from 18.10 to 19.04. Machine was fresh installed with 18.10
and touchpad worked out of the box.

I'm using a Thinkpad T480s and while my Elantech touchpad was mostly
functional upon moving to 18.10 two-finger right-click and three-finger
middle-click stopped working. `libinput list-devices` showed 'none' for
a couple of features like 'Click methods.'

Lenovo Thinkpad P52 is another laptop that uses this touchpad. Same
