Original install was Ubuntu (3-4 years ago?), along the way I installed the XFCE meta package (forget if it was the xubuntu meta or what), and switched the DE to XFCE, but the core is base Ubuntu. That's why I use that nomenclature. This is a desktop, so no laptopy stuff here. Last I checked xscre
