I am using ubuntu + Pcmanfm and installed the lxde package (with 18.04 I prefer
lxde)
Is this recongnized as a bug ? While not major, crl+x is a very standard and
useful shortcut

This describes my problem too (since some time).
Cut and past don't work in PCManFM 1.2.5, but works on the very same file in
the default file manager Filer 3.26.4.
That should rule out other stuff I think.

It is interesting that this is not reproducible in Lubuntu. We've
apparently got something Ubuntu doesn't, which is strange, because we're
quite similar at the core. Maybe try installing lubuntu-core or the lxde
(or maybe lxde-core) metapackage and see if you can't figure out what
you're missing. M

The cut functionality is not working in the fresh install of PCManFM.
I've tried doing cut and paste using the dropdown navigation bar (Edit
>> Cut, Edit >> Paste), and also tried using the hotkeys (Ctrl-x
Ctrl-v). Nothing happens, and the files I try to cut is not
