I've had the same problem with hardy alpha 5. after some time, it falls under the busybox prompt. (I had no problem with ubuntu 6.04) There may be an interesting detail : I've got also a plextor DVDR PX-740A. (hda) (motherboard asus a7n8x-e deluxe) I managed to save some logs (dmesg, casper.log a
