Low Memory
Hello there,
I've spotted the same issue on my *Dell Inspiron 7559* laptop with
*Linux Mint 19 Cinnamon* (*4.15.0-38-generic* kernel). "Corrupted"
memory values are very consistent. I've been "observing" them since few
days and they seem to be pretty the same every time.

Since I reported this issue I have tried to debug this problem and found
that the function call to 'i8k_get_fn_status' in the kernel module
'dell-smm-hwmon'
(code at
https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/drivers/hwmon/dell-smm-hwmon.c)
is what causes low memory corruption on Dell Inspiron
Tested the 4.19-rc1 upstream kernel (4.19.0-041900rc1)
and the issue still exists!
dmesg output showing "Memory corruption detected in low memory"
attached.

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v4.19 kernel[0].
